Patient Testimonials
"The program is great, but the real keys to success [at the Bone & Joint Center] are the people."
- Gary Miller, hip replacement patient
"My total experience was very positive - no one likes to have surgery, but you and your staff made it tolerable. The team is extremely talented, professional and attentive to all the patients' needs."

Joint Replacement
Advances in medical technology have made joint replacement therapy an effective option to treat chronic joint pain from arthritis and other degenerative joint diseases or injury. Bayfront Health Seven Rivers’s multidisciplinary orthopedic care team includes orthopedic doctors, surgeons, pain management specialists and physical therapists who provide care. We offer orthopedic surgery, including:
- Total joint replacement for knees, hips, elbows and shoulders
- Partial knee replacement
- Anterior approach to hip replacement
- Minimally invasive options
Our approach to joint care includes:
- Pre-operative education for patient and family members
- Dedicated unit with private suites for hip and knee replacement patients
- Analgesic and rapid-recovery surgical techniques that may result in less pain and quicker recovery
- Comfortable clothing (no hospital gowns here; patients wear their own clothes)
- Group education, exercise and dining to encourage camaraderie and support
- Joint Coaches (family member or friend who is an active participant in the patient’s care)
- After-care support, including follow-up calls within 72 hours of discharge and quarterly reunions for patients and coaches
Part of our care includes preparing our patients properly before surgery, as well as helping them recover their mobility. You’ll know what to expect before, during and after surgery. Our orthopedic care professionals are focused on providing quality care from diagnosis through recovery. As such, we offer Joint Camp on an ongoing basis. Click here for more information.
